Post your questions for kd lang

Ten years ago, three very talented singers joined forces to create a wonderful album together. The group, called Case/Lang/Veirs, included Neko Case, a singer from The New Pornographers, Laura Veirs, a well-known songwriter from Portland, and kd lang, a famous Canadian country music artist who has won Grammy awards. Sadly, this amazing album has not been followed by another. However, a new release to mark the anniversary does include a beautiful song that was never heard before, titled Accidental Tattoo. Now, kd lang is offering a rare opportunity for readers to ask her questions.

She will be answering questions for The Guardian. You might be curious about what it was like to make the record, which involved sessions in lang’s loft and Veirs’ dining room. Perhaps you’d like to know about lang’s friendship with the late singer Tony Bennett, her work supporting animal rights, or her experiences in the Edmonton country music scene in the mid-1980s before she became a star. You might also wonder about the famous magazine photoshoot she did with Cindy Crawford, which many consider one of the best ever. Or maybe you’re interested in her experience working with the legendary Roy Orbison, if she is planning new music, or what her constant desires are right now. Any questions are welcome.

Please submit your questions in the comments section by midday BST on 25 August 2026. The most interesting answers will be published in an upcoming reader interview feature.
